2025 Driver of the Month / Driver of the Year Nomination

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this program is to recognize North Carolina truck drivers for their commitment to safety and professionalism during their driving career. The NCTA Driver of the Year and Driver of the Month Awards honor the best of our fleets on the road, highlighting safety both in and out of the cab.

PRESENTATION:

The presentation to the individuals will be made during the NCTA Truck Driving Competition (TDC) and Top Tech Challenge Awards Luncheon held at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh on Saturday June 7th, 2025.

SPONSOR:

The NCTA Safety and Human Resource Council will be the sponsor of these awards, unless a member company expresses interest. Any member company can serve as sponsor for these awards.

ELIGIBILITY FOR NOMINATION:

a) Member in good standing with the NCTA.

b) No more than 5 driver entries per company for Driver of the Month.

c) No more than 3 driver entries per company for Driver of the Year. *To be considered as Driver of the Year, nominee must be a prior NCTA Drive of the Month award winner.

d) Nomination for the DOM/DOY Award may be made by any person.

e) As a condition of being nominated, the nominees and the company in which they are employed must grant the North Carolina Trucking Association 'Awards Committee' complete and full authority to investigate their records and any pertinent company records to determine that all qualifications are met. In turn, the 'Award Committee' guarantees to hold the results of the investigation in strict confidence.

f) Nominations which are unsuccessful may be re-submitted the following year, or any year thereafter, by bringing the information required for the nomination up-to-date at the time of re-submission.

g) An individual may only win Driver of the Month/Driver of the Year once in a lifetime.

h) Must attach driver's MVR to be considered.
