CANCELLED - 2020 NC Top Tech Challenge Registration

**Due to Covid-19, The Top Tech has been cancelled for the 2020 year** last updated 6/1/20

The NC Top Tech Challenge is a state competition that offers technicians the opportunity to show off their skills, gives them the opportunity to represent their company, meet like-minded professionals in their field and offers our fleets, dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors the opportunity to build relationships with one another.

The event will begin with a written test, followed by the completion of a series of individual skills stations.

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each track; truck and trailer. Student winners are also awarded. 1st place winners will also win an all expense paid trip to represent North Carolina at the 2020 National Skills Competition (TMC SuperTech), or TMC FutureTech for students, in Raleigh, NC on September 13-17.

Cost for technicians is $50, students at a North Carolina Community College are free. Students are limited to 2 per school, may be subject to change.

Eligibility: Contestants must reside in the state of North Carolina and be employed by a member of the North Carolina Trucking Association or be enrolled as a student at a state sponsored college or university that has a transportation program. Contestant must sign and return agreement and release form upon registration.

Attire: Each contestant must wear appropriate long pants and work shoes meeting industry safety standards. Official contestant shirts will be given out at check-in and must be worn during the competition. Other safety related items such as safety glasses and any needed tools, manuals and equipment will be provided as needed by each individual station.
