Starting & Charging Systems Training
The NCTA Technology & Maintenance Council is excited to host our upcoming Tech Night focused on 24V Starting & Charging Systems. This session is designed to deliver practical, hands-on knowledge for technicians and maintenance leaders responsible for keeping fleets reliable and road-ready.
As the truck industry transitions toward 24V electrical systems, technicians have an opportunity to expand their skill sets and stay ahead of evolving technology. Understanding the differences between 24V and conventional 12V systems—including operation, diagnostics, and safety—will be essential to supporting next-generation equipment.
Starting and charging systems are critical to every vehicle’s operation, supplying the power needed to start the engine and maintain proper electrical function while in service. Proper testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting are essential to preventing unexpected breakdowns and extending component life.
